This reminds me of a camping trip it took at Ft. Hood, TX. Didn't like it. Waiting to see your painting, meanwhile....roadtrip!

These were Tohono O'Odham. The Hopis are further north.

Not legally but a mile up the road the pavement ends and from there on you can go anywhere in the forest you want to.

A great looking shot David. With this view, you can't go wrong for $65K.

http://www.blm.gov/az/st/en/prog/blm_special_areas/natmon/ironwood.html Thanks, Bob. I lived on the northern California coast for 7 years and came here from there. What a change! The desert is beautiful but it's getting warm...John, I've done neither and these days my legs hurt from just walking the property, or part of it. The attached link is a good starting point for info about where I live. Native Americans were living here years ago and are still part of the culture. I don't know of any artifacts around but there are petroglyphs in the mountains out of sight to the right. It is against the law to remove anything or deface or destroy anything out here and it's enforced! This particular piece of property is just west of me, is a 5 acre parcel, and is on the market for $65K.

Have you ever looked for meteorites or dinosaur fossils on the land? Native American artifacts?
