| RE the paint scheme link from cybermodeler: That chart is fascinating in that it shows just how many variations of the same color there can be, and how crazy, or anal as Moostang would say, a modeler can be in trying to duplicate an exact color. I don't think I've seen the term "scale fade" before but I can certainly attest to the fact that paint fades over the years. Most of the aircraft in storage at the boneyard at Davis-Monthan are painted to some degree as are the ones at several other storage facilities here in the desert southwest. You can find photos of them easily on the web. |
