I don't think this plane was ever meant to be a fighter, but more for propaganda: Look how fast our planes can fly. They never let on that it wasn't a fighter, however.

Great museum. I think it is their satellite museum up on the way to the Grand Canyon, next to Flintstone's Village. Also worth the trip.

The wing per plans is very slim and flat bottomed so I'm using the airfoil from the Typhoon, with some slight adjustments.

The entire frame is built with 1/16" stringers and fortunately the wood is very sturdy. I used 1/8" stock for the center of the "boxes" for strength and ease of construction.

It's somewhat of a mystery but they needed the engine for the 109 among other things.
