Beautiful job, Huey. Liked your approach to the sheeting. Skye |

I like your solid wing rib gussets and supports - I wish I had done that with all of my models. Pretty smooth fuse sheeting too, and great cowl blisters! |

Had some spare time to get something done. Sheeted the forward fuselage. |

I guess I'm old school, I covered several full scale aircraft, love Randolf (dopes, Nitrate & butyrate). Have used Stits, and some of the new stuff. Prefer what's been around for 100 years. |

As far as the finish, it turned out very good. Taunt, not a lot of wrinkles, has a rubbery texture. Nitrate would have a more of a plastic texture. |

Spritzed with 90% thinned. After it shrank, applied 2 coats of 70% thinned on one side, have 3 coats on the other. Was going to add another coat to the other side. Warping is a problem. Nitrate does not do this. Pinned the item down to stop warping. Still a problem. Odd stuff. This stuff seems to bond with your skin cells. You need to was it off quickly. |

How is it working out after drying? |

Huey V77,
Gumby has built something similar on our Aerodrome RC PT crop duster. Check it out in our hanger! |

John, my friend is building a F11C2, 84". Maybe Gumbe would like to check out this engine? |

Was reading about Ezedope, thought I'd try it. I don't know what its made from but its strange stuff. Used dope techniques, seems to work. At least the nitrate peals off your fingers, this stuff doesn't. |
