The Spanish were still flying their Junkers Ju 52s at the time, as well. |

Nearly. They were in the natural aluminum with yellow and red roundels and the same black X on a white background on the rudder. This 109 is painted with just black and white, and mixtures thereof, and unlike the FW-190, no silver is being used. |

Thanks, it's probably the only one which will ever be here. When I went to Spain in 1960 the Spanish were flying the F-86. :-) |

Looks great as usual. I like the color scheme and markings. Only Spanish plane I've seen on the Aerodrome. |

Thank you. The nose is where the action is...there's lots of details to add plus the two air scoops. |

This is a beautiful shot Dave! |

The rudder is just barely taped on...Spanish military aircraft still have the same black X on a white background, unless painted in a low visibility scheme. |

Yes, and they will probably not be used but might come in handy someday. |

Fantastic David. Is that on water slide decal paper? |
David Duckett, Image # 32003 | 18 Jul 14 08:02 |
The book Luftwaffe's Baptism of Fire contains these decals in 3 sizes, 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32. For the 1/16 109 I doubled the size of the 1/32 set. |
