I don't recall seeing one of these built on VA! (I built a 1/48th plastic kit for the Tech drawing master at my senior school in England in 1957 - he was retiring. He was a BE2 pilot in WW1)

That's a beauty. Where was it caught?

Where did you get the men from? Where can you get the right size for your airplanes?

Equipment shortage Nigel. Besides the chap sitting on his backside is destined for the ball turret and tells me there is no bleedin room for it!

Looking superb Gary, excellent progress. Shouldn't the boys have their chutes on though !

At least the crew have got their flying kit on,

A little progress.

The main thing is to have fun with it. Some are fast builders (DD, John), others are slow. I've completed two kits in the several years I've been a part of this. But I really enjoyed those builds. Your's is looking great. Enjoy!

Ditto that Stirling. I did the same for my LIb "Green Dragon" a couple of years back. Much easier and also the finish was much nicer. Spent most of my time painting though.

Thanks Nigel. Probably would've been finished quicker if you had hung on to her!

Looking good Gary, slowly but surely it's taking shape and your workmanship looks outstanding.

It's a 'Kingfish' Mr Duckett. I wish I could blame the fishing for the slow progress. It seems every year gets busier these days. I must admit that as time drags on with the Lib build I'm finding it harder to stay interested in it. I'm hoping to push hard over the next month our so in an attempt to finish her.

What is it? I know you have said before but...Sorta hard to build a B-24 while fishing, eh?

Been TOO long since last post. I just don't seem to have time these day's to work on the Libby. Currently working on the tail section. Rudders shaped from solid balsa as I could'nt be bothered constructing as per plans.

Hey, I have this on my watchlist..... good old trademe, you never know what you'll find there. An old fella near me has a 3/4 SE5A and an Albatross its quite a sight to see them flying around here in NZ.

Hang it up?!? Fly this bad boy round the hood, dropping water balloons.... I bet the Homeland buttwinkies would come, eh?

Wonder if the wife would let me hang that from the ceiling ?
