I hope that the "work demands" are a good thing. Like you, I build when I am between jobs. I have one starting up next week, it will be a pleasant change.

Due to current economy and work demands I am not able to spend the time to build like I wish. But I check the website often and I have to say, All of you here are just doing amazeing work. and I mean all of you. Everyone should take a bow, I applaud you.

bbaumer, Here's a picture of the airplane from WW1. Here is a link to a website showing the side of the aircraft in pretty good detail. http://www.fokkerdr1.com/Profiles/Profile%20SB10.htm

You guys are too much!

Lt. Ulrich Neckel stopped by the hanger today to check out his restored DR1. As you can see he is one happy winner of the Blue Max.

Thanks James, great videos, I had not seen them yet.

Well, thank you David! I stand corrected. I found this one too. Amazing stuff, owned by Peter Jackson, of the Lord of the Rings fame, apparently. That youtube video still doesn't look real too me, but it must be!

David, I'm not convinced it's real. There is very little about this huge collection of flying WW1 aircraft on the net, have you found much about it? It's meant to be from the Classic Fighters 2007, Easter airshow at Omaka Airfield near Blenheim New Zealand. Some of the flying shots look slightly odd to me, like the aircraft are crabbing, or just not flying realistically. Did you notice that? I think it's incredibly well done computer graphics, just like this one is. I would love to be proved wrong though!

It's real and I'm fairly sure it's in Australia cause somewhere on here I posted a pic but I don't remember where I put it.

Did you see this video? I think it must be computer generated, I don't believe there are this many Dr.1's flying in the world today, let alone in the same place. What do you guys think?

A real gem. Color scheme, detailing and those scratch built spandaus really set it off. Congrats.
