I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I don't usually cover my fuselage with silkspan, but this one I did.

"Razorback".

Fuselage sanded, coated w/1 coat of clear dope, filled and sanded again.

No working features. For me it's just not worth the effort. Been there, done that.

Very nice poppy. Will you be adding moveable flaps?
poppy, Image # 2758016 Oct 12 05:48

L/G blocks added. Three stringers glued to the eddge of lower ribs will add airfoil to bottom of wing. I don't like flat wing underside.

Wing frames finished and dihedral added. Tips will be balsa.

How do you judge how high the panels need to be above the stringers?

I may try it myself at some point. The fill method is certainly a nice way to go about it.

Mr. Wilson, it probably is quicker to use sheeting, which I did use on all my models prior to the Hurricane. This is just another method I wanted to try. Fill takes a lot more time and work, but the final results have been well worth the effort.

That rear deck sure has the line of a Razorback. SHARP!!

Looks great. Boy that looks tedious. Would it not be easier to skin it in 1/32 sheet?

Thanks. I always use small amounts of Tester's plastic glue and I'm always worried that it will melt the plastic. I'll give the white glue a try at let it sit as you mentioned. :)
poppy, Comment for image # 2753311 Oct 12 10:02
No secret. Just let the white glue dry for 24 hrs.

Insane. Poppy, I know from your previous builds that you use Elmers white glue for plastic to balsa, do you lightly sand your plastic pieces to get that shine off for better adhesion? I did try that but found it can easy be pulled off. Is there a secret to your madness?

:-)
poppy, Image # 2753311 Oct 12 07:30

FYI, 190 fill pieces needed.
poppy, Image # 2753211 Oct 12 07:28

Fuselage all filled, ready for sanding and filler.

Floorboards and firewall. The plastic parts are glued with Elmer's white glue.
