I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Busy little blighters aren't they. Hope they realise that that wing is heavy and they probably should'nt be under there. Would'nt want them to get hurt! Lovely work.

Prop blade extensions...now need shaping for diameter.

The glue dried..pins removed...a bit of sanding.

Bill...yes I built the half on the plan, but they, the MUNCHKINS, stuck it up there! I like the slats but hate working with plastic. May redesign them out of wood.

you built the wing half laying on the plan, then stuck it up there right? I agree with you about Guillow's plastics, but most of the time if done at least half well, they look pretty good. See if I'm wrong on those slates. They really pop.

The munchkins sheeted and pinned the right wing. They ran out of pins and left for an evening of debauchery in Atlantic City. I permanently attached the cowl and exhaust pipes.

Anti stall wing slats that all SBDs have. Guillows kit plastic...I hate it!

Nicely done...and what looks like plastic on the wing???
John M Oshust, Image # 1697115 Mar 10 12:24

Wing progress. They want to do it so I might as well sit back and watch!

Winging it today. I duplicated the last wing spar in the wing root. When framing the wing, this spar was set at an angle that will produce the scale diheral at the wing tip. When the wing unit is complete it will be epoxied to the wing root.

I guess the effect was...shall we say...riveting! Could not pass that one up!

"Tank" you, kind sirs!!!
BillParker, Comment for image # 1693113 Mar 10 19:18
What's amazing, is how that one effect, (the rivets) brings the whole project together. It went from looking "right" to looking "real." Well done, John.

Its not me its the Munchkin workers. To them it is real!

Extremely well done. It is amazing how you can make this look so realistic.

WOW...sure fooled me. Which is generally pretty easy..:-)

JG.. not one pin. Hand spaced dimples in the Al with a pencil point!
JohnG., Comment for image # 1693013 Mar 10 08:47
Awesome...you are keeping the pin company working nites.

A "riveting" experience on a totally awful weather day.
