I used a marking pen to denote the outlines of the legs

Making the two remaining sides, I traced the outline of the engine onto additional card stock. I also allowed for extra plastic card along the bottom for the legs of the engine

I then bent the card along the score line to form a smooth side. Note the small ridge along the fold line.

Notice the plastic covers both the flat portion of the engine and extends overhead just enough for the cylinders. I scored the card prior to super-gluing it on the balsa block

This is where unsolicited smooth credit cards come in handy. Cut a strip about the width of your intended cylinders and the length of the engine block itself.

After application of Spackling, tape was immediately peeled off to produce a straight edge
