Use a small amount of Testors to make sure the silkspan is attached to the leading edge. |

DD....did you use the "wet" tissuing method in this case??? |

Trim away the excess. |

Per plans, this extra glue on the outside of the string seals the covering. |

Pull the silkspan over from the back and glue a center section. Then glue the rest working each side in small sections. Glue the silkspan to the wingtips, as well. |

It's very important to glue the silkspan to the string. |

Silkspan is taped to table over the upside down wing. Start by gluing the wing tips and leading edge. |

50/50 white glue and water as per plans. |

What did you paint them with? Don't mean to be so inquisitive, but I'm taking notes for the Wright that I am so slowly building. |

"50/50 mixture", I presume that you are using the white glue as suggested in the plans, or are using dope? Looking very good so far. |

The leading edge is wood. It's actually fairly easy to cover although it does require some time since the silkspan is glued to each rib. |

Nice picture - the natural lighting works very well with the wood. Is the leading edge a wire or thread? Either way it must be a challenge to cover. |
