I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Great catch, David. Looks like a test bed for a RR powered 747-800? Maybe?

Probably American Airlines

Well, it was flying in circles......
SteveM, Comment for image # 2813707 Dec 12 20:22
Does it throw off the thrust and make him fly in circles?

Greens have always given me fits
SteveM, Comment for image # 2768525 Oct 12 07:22
I've got the sap green, but I think I'll pick up the chromium oxide green too when I get a chance.

Thanks, John. I've said many times that I'm a painter more than an artist and that my imagination is zip. It's only when the painting actually starts that the artistic side kicks in. I've seen your paintings on the barn so I know you know of what you speak. I like'em, by the way. All your models look as if they're as much fun to paint as to build and that's the best of both possible worlds to me. I'm fairly sure your current work in progress is keeping your artistic juices working overtime. So... when will the first work on canvas appear? I don't mean the "canvas" with the stitching on the Jenny.

OK, I think I've covered all the numbers.....Just like a model, it will now get several coats of paint before going forward.

My Picasso cost $20 plus $10 for the frame. The Van Gogh, homage to John O and I :-), is from a book and its frame came from? The frame for the On Final... painting cost $110. The other painting is my friend Michael working in his garden 7 years ago and it is still unfinished since then.

Much more better test of the artistic ability! Bravo!

I love Disney and have painted lots of cartoons over the years for people. All cartoons are basically circles and drawing and painting them on canvas is great practice, both in drawing and in brush technique. All the insignia paintings are cartoons and require the same precision. Something like this will require the same attention but certainly not the detail of the source photo. And the beauty of it is that I can take it in any direction and not be concerned about getting the decals on in the correct places.:-) In other words, just paint!

Much, much better than taking Disney!
