Just after the lunar eclipse. My camera and I are not very good, maybe DD and his Sony have a better picture. |

It doesn't look very clear due to the liquid mask, the real test will be what it looks like after the mask is removed. I made this canopy using the method I describe under the clear plastics section of the little guide that I have written up. When this plane is done I will update the guide with pictures of it and tweak the directions if needed.
The quick version: Pour plaster into the kit canopy to make a mold, fill and sand the plaster mold to remove imperfections that existed in the original, then vacuum form using 0.015" clear plastic. |

I would also like to know how you did it, I,m planning a CF 105 avro arrow build from scratch in the near future and need to make a canopy. |

Good looking canopy. I always wanted to be able to Vacu-form plastic parts. Is that how you made it? Looks good to me. |

Waiting for the glue and mask to dry. This is a canopy that I made earlier this evening, it's not perfect but is better than what was provided. |

Liquitex. I have black, white, blue, green, red, brown, and a medium gray that I use to mix all of my colors. The belly color was the medium gray with some white and blue added. The sand color was a lot of white, some brown, a touch of red, and a splash of yellow. I know the red+yellow and brown is a little redundant but it got me where I needed to go. |

Getting started on the painting, but I will need to get the canopy on before I get too far. |
