plenty of room and lots of 'glass' for the interior details to show through..Can't wait to see the treatment she gets Dave.
This machine was a tech marvel for it's time and once the power plants were upgraded it was a menace plus it had the look of a massive venomous spider - I never knew there had been a kit until now, and Sterling too |

The board it's sitting on is 24" X 24". |

coming right along isn't it? wow
What is the wingspan, David? near 30" I'm guessing. |

It's coming along a lot faster than the A-26. Looks good. What you said about learning more about each plane as you build is true and part of the fun. |

Even though I built this kit years ago, I honestly do not remember it so this time it's a learning experience all over again. Now with computers I'm learning much more about the aircraft and developing more admiration and respect for it. |

I love the P61 - Saw a Black finished one at Reno a few years ago - wonderful sight! |

I see a lot of sanding in my future. |

The cowlings are made of three pieces which fit quite well. I added a circle of wood inside the back one so it can be glued on. |

Cutting the strips for infill this way makes optimum use of the wood and reduces the number of cuts required. |

I think you would need 2: 1 to shrink fit and 1 to do the shrinking. :) |

Messing around with a magnetron is why the kids shrunk in the first place. |

Maybe Szalinski from "Honey, I shrunk the kids" cold help. |

Finding a magnetron to fit is a real problem.... |

And that radar won't radar on its own, either.

They are for the cameras. It's a reconnaissance version. |
