Thank you. I use Liquitex acrylic paint. For filler I'm using Sherwin-Williams Shrink-Free Spackling.

Dave, if you remember, were the parts identified with a printed number, or did you have to identify and mark them yourself? (bet you can guess what I'm up to...)

It seems you had great results using Sherwin-Williams spackle.

Did the walk through tour on that as well.....was interesting. Very tight in a lot of places.

I did the tour on here couple of years ago, really enjoyed it!

it really is one of the hardest plastic canopies i have applied.
David Duckett, Image # 2866520 Feb 13 06:32

Those bumps on the top are why I still have it. It's stiff plastic so trim it, glue it front and back with medium CA, and then use your finger to press on the top which will force the bottom sides to the fuselage so they can be glued in place.

i'll try that dd, thank you.

Brian: Just happen to have an F-18 canopy on hand....cover it with masking tape which will help you see where the lines are and then draw them in with a pencil. The red line is the cut line. Leave the tape on and cut with larger scissors.

thanks dd.

Brian: I painted them white but they could be other colors, as well. I've seen them in blue and also in orange.
