That's not a dent, it's where the horizontal stabilizer fits. I'll use this piece as a pattern and the actual tail feathers will be 3/16" thick.

Your work is so exact. Did you know that the dent in your vertical stab. can be taken out with steam? It looks like you overworked your helper.

Using the kit pieces as patterns, the fuselage is 3/32" formers and stringers and is 14 3/8" long.
