This desert dweller was on the front porch last night when dumbass, aka DD, walked right past it to take out the trash. |

DD...I have brushed on Min wax acrylic semi gloss plastic coating. Makes the decal lines diappear and really anchors them in place. BTW...what did you do with your Rubles??? |

Make sure they adhere properly. Mine had lifted slightly on the spitfire and when sprayed with the Krylon they curled up and disintegrated. |

If Krylon doesn't affect the decal color, spraying will give model a uniform look. It also helps to blend them to surface. |
David Duckett, Comment for image # 7606 | 07 Apr 08 08:57 |
Do these need to be sprayed with Krylon after being applied? |

testing, testing...these are courtesy of John O. A test piece shows great adhesion and the red is actually much better than it shows here. Thankfully the cuts are all straight lines. |

Yes, another beauty IS on the way! DD, This is going to be another wonderful work of art we have come to expect from you. I was always fascinated by the way the Russians liked to hang the rudder over the rear of the fuselage. This kept the tailpipe short but still kept the engine entirely within fuselage and maintain stability. |

Aluminum! The spray, yes spray, paint is made by the same company that makes monokote. After drying overnight I'll give it a couple of more coats. |
