Mad? Lt Rojo got drunk & fell down on his backward carved prop. Lt Rubio made it all right.

It appears SIG labels their silkspan 00/GM/SGM and K&S has 000/00/GM/SMG but you can't always find the GM grade from K&S. I have "00" from K&S that is 6.8 grams for 24"x36". PVHC shows "000" as being the lightest but even K&S doesn't make it clear which is the lightest so I will assume PVHC is correct. Next time I order from them I'm getting a sheet of each weight so I can cover my planes accordingly.

I believe the 000 is the lightest. Whether it's too light depends on what you want it to do. It's all stronger than tissue, the difference in the grades is the relative thickness of the fibers, what Martha Stewart might call "thread count". I build for display so weight isn't a consideration. I use only the heavier grade because it's easier to work with and requires less dope to seal it prior to painting.

In a previous post you said you use s+m SGM covering, is their 000 covering lighter or heavier? if its lighter is it too light to work with?

Saguaro cactus grow here and in Mexico and some have very unusual arms. The trees are indeed mesquite and the bushes are mainly creosote.

Looks like that cactus has an opposable thumb :-) Cool pics Dave.

Is this Southern Arizona, around Yuma? Breathtaking view. And awe inspiring.

Wow! David, that's just beautiful. And that cactus only grows aroun Arizona and New Mexico. Right? Are those mesquite trees and sage brush?

What a view to wake up to each morning!

Wow! Almost as tall as my pine trees. Rugged but beautiful.

I see. At least raking the "leaves" from your "lawn" doesn't consume too much valuable model building time.

The guns are made from scrap balsa & a dowel.

I'm glad to see they got there so quickly and that you were able to use one of them.

Steve's casting is better than the original, IMHO..
