I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Creosotewind - grain was a pain, but with a bit of effort I think I got it. Oh jy, check out the gear doors and cowling for the P-61. It works well. Heywoooood - didn'tthink it would work well here, but I do use it. Thanks to both for the ideas. DD - Hmmm? Note that the nose gear works..

Filler and about 4 coats of sandable primer

Don - did you try Evergreen sheet styrene? it comes pretty thin..or if you have any plastic packaging like the blister packs that batteries and the like are sold in. I use that stuff a lot. sometimes I cut out the flat sections for windows and gauge bezels and sometimes you get lucky and the shape or curve they are blistered to are just right for small parts like these. Just a thought.

The hmmmm is for the cowl flaps.....

Oh, I just noticed your previous post.

This look real nice, but you might consider, in the future, using card stock. If you laminate two pieces, while the glue is still drying, you can wrap it around curved shapes and it will dry in that shape. It can also be sanded and doesn't have grain to deal with.

Is there an A26 in David's near future projects list..? or does hmmm mean something else-ish

They should look a lot better painted.

1/32 balsa, sanded a bevel on glued edge, watered and Voila!

Cardstock cowl flaps. They didn't work.

Ehhaust chutes, guides or whatever they're called.

Good idea. I used fishing weights, lots of them, on the T-28, and I'll use them again on the P-61.

I did that on the F9F. Had everything closed up and haven't decided whether or not to open up the wheel wells.

I used fishing sinkers to hold the nose of my c-130 down.

Nothing like some # 6 lead shot to make the R2800s heavy enough to make the nose wheel usable.
