Thanks, Ray. Not sure yet. Been trying to find Deke Slayton's A-26, but no luck so far. I'm not a real fan of silver (or aluminum). WW11 and Korea have some interesting colors. It will be the later B model.

Time to start making it look like and airplane.

Got the control surfaces done too. Ready for covering.

It's looking really good!

Well, I messed up that comment. Back glued down, sanded to shape,5 coats of dope. A little filler and it should work.David, that's a nice easy way to mae intakes. Thanks for the tutorial.

ding and some filer

3 layers of cardstock glued with Elmer's wood glue and shaped on a dowel while drying - then shaped to fit (sort of). Glued the curve first and let it dr.y for about 3 hours

Missed part Brian. Turkeys and deer don't care about fences. Both of them will go through or over this, but it does keep the range cattle out and my horses in.

Fire for effect!

They just roam the area and terrorize cats. Once mating season is over they split up some, but they really are doing well out here. Fox and coyotes must be happy.

Thanks Bob. I think this would make a beautiful RC model. It's just a sleek looking plane. Thanks for the info Ray. Since the LHS closed I have to cut all my own stuff, so I'll be looking.

where did they all come from, don? fenced in or fenced out?
rayl, Comment for image # 4001216 Mar 18 12:40
No I didn,t Don. The plans allowed for the 3/32" planking. IIRC, the Master Airscrew stripper goes for about $7.00 most everywhere.

....even without the flight control surfaces!

Great work Don - wonderful proportions in this design.

My only run-in with an A-26. January 1961, Minneapolis, MN.

Thanks Ray. It's 35" (1:24). My balsa stripper is from an Exacto kit I got in the 50's. Goes up to about 5/16. Did you cut the formers down on the P-47 to compensate for the planking?
