Looking excellent John, the panel lines and rivets look great. The camo paint is superb, great idea to use house paint! very resourceful.

Moose...My Rat reference books shows at least 5 different military stars. Solid red is a go printed on white decal paper. The white of the paper will prevent the camo from bleeding thru...I hope. I can only get one wing star to fit on one sheet of paper...just order more from Micro-mark!

SW...This star is a hand colored B+W from a laser printer. Seems like the solid red star this size is the winner!

Johnny O. From the majority of reference photos I've seen on a I-16, total red star; be it for winter schme or normal military markings. Scale seems right. Looking good.....

That looks fine to me, but. What do I know? That isn't a decal, it looks like a hand made star. Is it?

Thinking looking good as is.

Decal day....got the size...now a decision as to star type is in the works. I await a consultation.

One should NEVER forget the pitot tube...essential detail.

LOL

DD...What an eye you have. I took a scale drawing of the star and measured the space between the wing tip and aileron. Transferred the space to the Rat....the star needs to be 1 inch larger!!!

Excellent job. You outdid yourself. A real work of art for your growing museum.

An effective "SuperCharger"!

Oh! Then he won't have to fly to get high!

Darn...I was hoping to get by with something easy. Now I have to play with the graphics in the computer. I knew it!!!

SW...Do not worry about Gumby...alcohol dissolves his clay. He does like Mary Jane!
sweetwillie, Comment for image # 751601 Apr 08 21:21
Make sure you give the pilot a sobriety test. He might need it.:-)

SteveM...not yet but close! Old fingers and lack of typing skills. When I reach this stage, I go light on the Carlo to avoid a major FUBAR!
SteveM, Comment for image # 751601 Apr 08 21:13
Uh oh, looks like Uncle Carlo took over.
