I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

One more day of treatment should have the new "Wings of Steel" as smooth as a baby's behind.

Thru the marvel of modern medicine the "Rat" is released from ICU and continues to mend.

The Rat is well on her way to recovery...she is spared from the role of kindling! As soon as she is presentable photos will follow. Again, thaks for making me try harder and not trash easy!

Next time, perhaps you might try some Viagra to perk up and straighten out both the model and the modeler....just a thought.

After tonight's antibiotic treatment the Rat is recovering. Thanks to all for the support. I think she will make the recovery in fine shape!

John, a work of art does not go in the trash bin. You've got to fly it out to Texas for a fishing trip.:-)
Barnstormer, Comment for image # 737627 Mar 08 20:58
You can do it John, no way this one deserves the trash bin.

The Rat is in the hospital with an IV in each wing. She seems to be reponding to treatment...prognosis...she may recover by the end of the weekend.

My friend I know but it is the time involed. The turd work that I am doing now is not to my liking. This all could have been avoided if I had completely "thunk" out the build process, rather than build while thinking. The Rat may be a lage learning experience, and some good kindling!!!
poppy, Comment for image # 730127 Mar 08 16:06
Oh no, not trashed. You have come too far on this build. Anything can be fixed. It's only wood we are working with.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 730127 Mar 08 16:03
Ouch, mine was no where near your burn quality. Have the wife kiss it and make it better.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 730127 Mar 08 15:59
Unfortunately the Rat is undergoing major rennovations at this time. If my efforts to correct my stupidity do not work, she will be trashed and not completed!
Creosotewind, Comment for image # 730127 Mar 08 13:49
John, check my thumb photo. One burn is enough for me. Looking fan-freakin' tastic.

VERY nice work John. I wouldn't have liked to have been on the receiving end of all this firepower!

BS...do you mean on the Rat? The LG has to be completed. Next build...probably a very large inherited Corsair!!!! Can't wait!!!
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 737426 Mar 08 21:53
Rod N...The prop and the wheels are the only parts that I did not make by hand. The prop was the easiest thing...just shape a fiberglass 13 in flight prop. My favorite is the Easter egg spinner!
Barnstormer, Comment for image # 737626 Mar 08 21:48
Just a little hickup in a grand process, I knew you would handle it and come out shining. Really looking splended. Whats next?
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 737526 Mar 08 21:47
poppy....I have always had a love for that plane. Hopefully the things I have learned in the past three builds will make it a pleasant experience. Decisions...do the vacation plane the Dumas Gee Bee Z or tackle the monster Corsair. I love the anhedral and dihedral and the cowling makes me want to "scratch!!
John M Oshust, Image # 737626 Mar 08 21:42

Well the hat had at least one more bunny in it. The wings seem true, the hole I "built" is patched, and tomorrow I can spend time sanding and shaping. The Rat is on an old kitchen table.
RodN, Comment for image # 737426 Mar 08 21:24
Nice detail John. Like the prop!
