Really sharp, John. Very innovative. I find myself in the grocery store looking at product containers to see if they can be converted to my modeling needs. Some shampoo bottles and cat food cans look like they can turn into cowlings. |

Barnstormer...Thanks...This is one instance where working on a larger plane makes a task a bit easier. The removable wing was another asset |

I drew the lines with the wing off the plane. If the plane did not come apart, drawing the panel lines would be very difficult. |

Closer look |

A fine point silver grey paint pen and an assortment of plastic rulers got the top wing finished. |

The old decals, though slightly damaged, work. I had to modify the F4 stars to match an F5. Started panel lines. |

Small progress today, sanded the prop and painted it...the tips get painted tomorrow. |

I just played with the math and this prop could actually be a bit larger. This one is 9 1/8 inches...20 inches would be more to scale! |

Duh! I guess I should have read Poppy's comment. Well, now you know. ;-{) |

The prop on a real Corsair is 14 feet in diameter. That's the reason for the gull wings. |
