Luke War, Comment for image # 12056 | 23 Apr 09 23:00 | This thing has been getting shuffled around my apartment for awhile now and thought I'd see if anyone here might be able to give it a good home before I give it to the local Goodwill. Plastic model, 1:72 scale, the box plastic is off, but all parts are on their trees and in original sealed bags. Free is the price, but if whoever wants it could throw me a few bucks for S&H it'd be appreciated. |

Luke War, Image # 11837 | 12 Apr 09 22:26 | Put the pieces together in their approximate positions they will eventually go...the tape just makes it look classy. I can understand why people thought they were seeing a UFO when the looked up and saw this thing in the air |
Luke War, Image # 11836 | 12 Apr 09 22:23 | Cut and shaped the elevators and rudders. Elevs are two piece wrapped, rudders are three sheets of basswood pressed together. Basswood sure takes awhile to sand, but it looks good when its done! |
Luke War, Image # 11835 | 12 Apr 09 22:18 | Attached the propeller nacelle tubes and made the engine intake boxes. Put the first two planks down on the front, but have to fab and install LGs first. |
Luke War, Image # 11818 | 12 Apr 09 12:40 | Happy Easter all. |

Luke War, Comment for image # 11789 | 10 Apr 09 14:31 | Sorry about the blurry pic...I think the wood on this plane is worth more than the camera that I shot it with. |
Luke War, Image # 11789 | 10 Apr 09 14:29 | Fuse and prop nacelle tubes done...just waiting for the tubes to dry then everything has to be attached and sanded...in the meantime on to stabilizer, rudder and cockpit! |
Heinrich Dorfmann, Comment for image # 11727 | 06 Apr 09 13:24 | Would be interesting to see a flying (!) model of this "Mistel" ... |
Heinrich Dorfmann, Comment for image # 11727 | 06 Apr 09 13:23 | "Verlag für Technik und Handwerk" has a number of plans for this plane, ranging from 1:10 with a wing span of 86" to a 1:6,5 scale with a wing span of 118". See http://www.vth.de/shop/modellbau.html?tx_ptgsacategories_pi1[filter]=19 for details, search for "Ju 88" in the top right box. In the U.S., Cleveland Airline has an excellent plan of this plane (see www.clevelandairline.com) in various sizes. I don't know of any (balsa) kit for this plane. |
