I got a little hasty - is it's head black? I now think it may be a black-headed grosbeak - the spots in the tail and the fact that they are common in your area - and a lot of looking through the books - bring me to this conclusion. Most orange birds are orioles, but maybe not this one. |

If the Breast is orange we agree with frwflyer, its an Oriole. It could be a Bullocks Oriole, or a Hooded Oriole. It looks for all the world like a streak-backed oriole, but they are unusual as far north as you are and eBird doesn't show any sighting in your area since 2007 (at Gilbert Water Ranch). You may have a rare bird, but it seems unlikely. You can look at pictures of any of these birds by googling them. We need a better look at the head, eye and beak. (ask him to turn around and smile) |

I would guess an Oriole. |

This is a regular visitor and is here now. This is Marana, Arizona, 35 miles nw from Tucson, and that is indeed a Saguaro. The bird is orange in the chest area, pretty thing. |

Help narrow it down, where and what time of year was this taken? I think that is a Saguaro behind the feeder? |

White with a bit of raw sienna makes a perfect undercoat for yellow. |

Fin/rudder covered & attached and junctions filled. At 86 grams/ 3 ounces she's off to get dressed and like a lady she'll be taking her time. |

Stabilizer attached, covering complete. I am not going to try to cover the front! A small amount of precious Micro-Fill should do the trick. |

Thanks! I made the inlets and this is indeed my second Bearcat, albeit a tad smaller than the other one. |

That really is a beautiful finish - well done. |

Perfect job on the air inlets. Were they preformed or shaped by you? This is looking great! I believe this is your 2nd Bearcat? |
