Added "Sharpie" separation lines and applied covering to wing. Goning to dust it with flat clear after some touch-ups. Seemed to work pretty good. The marker didn't smear as easily as one would think. |

Tape it down and color it in. Make sure you grab the correct marker. I didn't, so now it's got single color graphics (one swoop was supposed to be orangier)! |

Covering the Holiday's wing with Coverlite (similar to Light-span). Comes sealed and tinted. Took some art markers (Prisma), did some swatches, designed the graphics. |

Until the trade winds suddenly arrive at 11:00a.m and blow everything off the balcony (lanai as they call it here)! |

I cannot think of a more relaxing setting to build away with!
Enjoy the view, the fresh air, and most of all, the build.... |

Ummmm... addiction might be closer to the truth! By the way, that is the south side of Haleacala Volnano. 10,000 ft. summit. The other way is the Pacific ocean 'bout 1/8 mi. away. |

In a setting like this, you are still building a model? Now that's what I call true dedication to the hobby. |

James, yeah, R&E only. The radio I'm building this for is only 3 channel. "Specktrum" is introducing a six channel little "Micro reciever/2 servo/ ESC" combo just like this one with two additional mini "JST" plug-in servo connectors. "When" it's available, it's gonig in this thing with with an aileron wing. FLYBOYZ, Thanks. The wing is removable (gotta get it home in a box) so dihedral changes are not a problem. Covering it with "Cover Lite". It's similar to "Poly-span" but pre-coloered and sealed, so no doping needed. You apply it with "SIG" Stix it or similar product.

Personaly I belive it would do fine just like it is it has big rudder suface and lage wing surface for lift. |
FLYBOYZ, Comment for image # 12592 | 31 May 09 11:00 |
Could do polydihedral you wouldn,t have to break it from the fuse.Just a idear! |

I agree the covering should make up for the nose weight. Are you going to cover with tisue? It looks like its going to be a good flyer.Well when you add push rod to tale surface thats tail weight too.Paint adds weight.control horns add weight.I think wing loading can handel it very easly. The design of the the aircraft has got me very excited indeed.Thinking about starting me one too. This is like a break though grate work pffin. |
