You are amazing, 81 must be nice. We are a cool -10 or so by the morning.

Bang up job, David. This should cover beautifully. It hit 60 by me today. The amount of fuse and wing handling I'm doing and the cold weather is actually passing the time till covering. Hopefully I can be doping by the end of the week...

Looks lovely like that, David. And happy belated birthday!

VERY, very nice, David.

Yes, it will have scale wheels but they won't sit up right. Sorta like kids.

It was 81 yesterday so when it warms up today, the doping will start outside. You can see I've added some extra wood...

The wood is fine. Not so fine is the dark blue tissue included and the decals have seen better days. Course, I don't use tissue anyway and I have a large collection of the appropriate decals.

Looking great. I was always fascinated by the fact that besides the straight ahead Vickers gun on the port fuse side, the pilot could use the Lewis on the top wing to fire to the side and above him; thus eliminating the extra weight of a second flyer. Thought this idea was a gem by the RAF. How did the balsa wood formers of a 30 something year old kit work out?

It's easier once you know where the rocks are.

By the way Dave, I feel pretty bad about the plug, fill and sand thing. I just bought some new balsa that is so soft that when I toss a 36 inch sheet in the air it actually floats. Well guess what? I did the 500 deries Spitfire in about three hours with this stuff. Up to now, I have been using scrap Guillows stuff, hard stuff. Stuff that takes about an hour to sand down one section with the heavy paper. I feel like a new man with this material!

Using a notcher to enlarge the notches to 3/32"
