I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Took a break from the building board and other household chores, and grabbed a handful of swingers and headed out to the local flying field ;-)

(This shoud have been posted about 3 posts back.) Since the new pod and tail worked so well on the 9 inch wing, we decided to apply it to the 11 inch wing.

It flys well, and this is the story of how the Jr. Cloudbuster came to fly with a 11 inch wing.

The 11 inch wing with new fuse and tail.

The tiny flyer in its new configuration flys well.

A couple of weeks ago, we gave the tiny flyer a new fuselage and wing and tail mounts.

The tiny flyer flys well with the 9 inch wing.

So we added upturned wing panels to the modified BB horizontal tail and came up with a 9 inch wing which we attached to the tiny flyer.

About the time that we putting the V-tail on the modified BB, we were tinkering with this little flyer. About 8 inch wingspan.

After breaking the booms several times, they were replaced with a single dowel boom and a V-tail.

The 1/8 by 3/8 balsa booms were a weak point.

and flown often.

The model was a fine flyer

Ready to fly.

With the 11 inch wing the model flys well but needs more speed to maintain the same altitude.

As we experiment with the collapsible models, we're designing some commonality among the models. Here the Jr.Cloud Buster can accomodate the wings of 11 and 14 inches.

Flys well low and slow.

Another test flight with the Jr. Cloud Buster

I usally use bolts nuts to balance a air craft too! When setting up for taethering do you want the model to be balanced out or do you need a little nose weight for forward movement? Thanks
