I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Everything fits to modified plans.

My reference material.

Poppy I want to thank for showing the onversion drawings you made. bringing to life what a carpenter once told me, "if you can't draw it, you can't build it". Again, your drawings are great and I'm sure will be translated into wood and paper many times as well as duplicatd in other aircraft.

Very Interesting info Poppy. I plan on building this kit some day so I will be taking notes. Great to see you start another build BTW. I always look forward to seeing your work.

All these corrections are very in-ter-esting! No wonder this kit always looked a bit strange. I'm looking forward to seeing the proper shape.

Stab. and elevators too large for scale. Redrawn to correct size.
poppy, Image # 571709 Jan 08 21:37

Wing scales perfect but no provision for underwing radiators. Also tip modified to G series.
poppy, Image # 571609 Jan 08 21:36

Front fuselage re-drawn to correct scale outline. Front was 1/2" too short and oil cooler is for a B-series, not E thru G.

Mods. to rear fuselage and rudder. Wing scales perfect, but fuselage is 1 1/2" too long. Rudder shape is incorrect as is stab. placement.

Yeah.....Happy B/D...you are now offically a part of "The Greatest Generation"!!

The kit rounded canopy is the early style which fits with the huge scoop of the B series which is what the Guillows kit is. You really have your work cut out for you to make the Guillows into a G-6. Please take lots of pictures detailing what you do because a lot of us beginners will be interested. I've probably built a dozen of the Hasegawa plastic E to G series kits, they are awsome kits. Good luck!! And happy medicare day.

Happy Birthday, Poppy!

Jerry, this is a G-2. The G-6 will have under wing cannons. I will have to scratch build the canopy. Kit canopy has curved top and all subsequent marks had flat surfaces. The nose cowling will also have to be scratch built, along with supercharger intake.

Thanks, my friends. This is my pattern model. It is actually a 1/48 Hasegawa kit. Paint and markings depict one flown by Gunther Rall.

Happy Birthday poppy! Lovely 109.

Is that the kit canopy?

Magnificent job of converting to a G1,2,3,4? Would love to see the steps involved. I'm thinking of doing the Guillows 400 109B as a detailed B. Where did you get the markings?

Congratulations I hope you never need to use the Medicare!!! Happy returns! Keep building!

Today I become a bona-fide senior citizen with Medicare.

My next project. Will attempt to convert kit to BF109G-6.
