Tail wheel housing. Kind of hear to see the inside but it's all lined with thin balsa and painted Military Green. Pics of the doors to follow.

Progress being made with the planking. Long and tedious project. several details added. Some work on cockpit, tail wheel housing, canopy fitted, bulkhead and exhaust stacks filled with filler, drilled out and painted black from the inside.

Still having trouble getting comments to appear under the correct pic. They always wind up as a comment under the first pic in the Build Thread. I sent an email to James Goode asking what I was doing wrong, Any other help will be greatly appreciate.

That should be RESANDED and not RESOUNDED. I need to be more careful when typing.

This is the compartment I created for the tail wheel. I plan on making a wheel tha will retract by means of a dowel providing the pivot point.

This view shows a closeup of covering showing the lack of wrinkles. If you look a some previous posts you'll see why I felt the need to recover.

As mentioned in an earlier post, I wash't happy with the covering on the tail section so I ripped it off, resounded, and recovered it. This version came out much better with no wrinkles. Fit looks good as well.
