I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

The nose is now joined with the intakes.....

Most of the nose piece is planked the same way.

In planking with 1/16" stringers I'm gluing each stringer to its neighbor with small amounts of Ca to maintain the curve .

I have built less challenging kits. Definitely not for beginners!!

I don't know if you could ever get enough hot fuel proofing in there. Loved those pull string starters. They were finger savers.

It would probably be about $5 these days.

The impellers and a Royal Spitfire .049 for illustration. The engine does not work.

I think we use to start our glow plug duct engines with a belt to the duct spinner.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3525103 Jan 16 11:11
It has a pull starter. I'll get a photo in a bit.
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 3525103 Jan 16 10:00
I wonder how you would start the .049 engine, cause you have to turn the prop over with your fingers?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3523903 Jan 16 09:12
Perhaps someone knows when they were first used, I do not:-)
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3525103 Jan 16 09:08
It came with two "impellers" and is designed to fly using an .049 gas engine.

In addition to this one, Berkeley also made ducted fan kits of the F-11 Tiger, F-8 Crusader, and T-33. Reports I've read indicate they were not good flyers.
