I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

that would be neat to fly!

cool, I didn't know duct fans went that far back!

Brian.....

did it come with the duct prop, david, does it have a flying option? what size is it about?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3525102 Jan 16 19:19
Just for reference, the inside diameter of the plywood ring is 3 3/4". I used a broom handle to curl the stiff paper lining the duct and it fit quite well.

Everything glued in place.

The cone structure was covered, badly, with the supplied stiff paper and painted just to be able to see it. Of course, it will all be covered anyway but....

Yes it is a pretty aircraft and it will have an appropriate paint scheme to show it off, as well.

Agreed!

I loved this aircraft when I was a boy of 13. Still do!

Great plane, DD. Tried to upload an old pic of 2 from the 1960 Armed Forces Day show at Wold Chamberlain Field, Minneapolis. The site must know better. One of the purtiest planes the Navy had. Looking forward to this one.

And this is the next step.....

The front section was planked and sheeted and solid wood for the nose. Testing for fit:-)

The airfoil is the same top and bottom which allows both wing panels to be built on the same plan. The tabs on the end ribs will be removed.

It's essential to keep everything in alignment fot everything to fit. Most of it did.

Excellent quality wood and accurate die cutting are a treat.
