Just for reference, the inside diameter of the plywood ring is 3 3/4". I used a broom handle to curl the stiff paper lining the duct and it fit quite well. |

The cone structure was covered, badly, with the supplied stiff paper and painted just to be able to see it. Of course, it will all be covered anyway but.... |

Yes it is a pretty aircraft and it will have an appropriate paint scheme to show it off, as well.

Great plane, DD. Tried to upload an old pic of 2 from the 1960 Armed Forces Day show at Wold Chamberlain Field, Minneapolis. The site must know better. One of the purtiest planes the Navy had. Looking forward to this one. |

The front section was planked and sheeted and solid wood for the nose. Testing for fit:-) |

The airfoil is the same top and bottom which allows both wing panels to be built on the same plan. The tabs on the end ribs will be removed. |
