I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

One can only imagine what influence this sail like scoop. had on the maneuverability of this aero-plane!

The same tubing bender like rayl used but I also filled the tube with an aluminum wire prior to wrapping it in the spring bender. And I got lucky!

Ah yes, this is perfect. How did you get such a smooth curve WITHOUT any kinks???

JG...Your favorite.....the pitot tube.

Well we installed the engine and spruced it up a tad. It has been over a year since its inseption and a year of ins and outs gave it some wear and tear.

Which is why I pay close attention to house sales and flea markets as you never know when an obscure tool may surface!

Ours was next to the "orange calterplime" which was necessary to properly seal the "gazinga pipe". I really miss some of those old tools.

Don C, You have let the secret to the highly coveted muffler bearing cutoff switch out of the bag! When I was a Boy Scout our troop always kept the jiffing wrench next to our "left handed smoke shifter" :-))
Don C, Comment for image # 3359924 Mar 15 13:17
I am guessing that the afore mentioned switch required a "jiffing wrench" to properly tension it.

Thanks poppy, You have executed a bit of detailing yourself. We both recognize and appreciate the "muffler bearing cutoff switch" and it's proper cockpit location! As to the master, the only time is was called a master was years back when I worked weekends on a fishing boat. There I was in charge of the bait:-))

I cannot wait to see the finished product. The detail as well as the craftsmanship on this model is incredible. You are indeed a master of detail. This is a very complicated plane to model. It is always nice to see Gumby at his best!!

JG, I guess it is because in this instance it does supply support to the wing and is not just for show
