James, I can't access the "how to" section. |

The completed prop assembly is ready for attachment but will be one of the last things to be glued on. This 7" scale prop is 14' on the real aircraft. |

Masked with 1/16" Pactra masking tape. BTW: I've been informed that Pactra is out of business and this tape is no longer made so I've stocked up. Tamiya masking tape is probably a good substitute but I haven't used it. |

The props were carved from hard 3/16" stock using the basic technique shown in the "how to" section under the main menu except that I used one piece instead of laminations. They were given one coat of dope, one coat of filler, and then two coats of dopw prior to painting. The tips were first painted pink, a color on hand so to speak, and then painted yellow. |

Trimmed to fit, it will now be glued inside the spinner and the blades should slide right into place. |

Strips of 3/16" stock frame a 3/16" opening. |

The spinner was cut from the Guillows P-40 400 kiit using scissors first and then a razor knife. Holes were punched using a standard 3/16" hole punch. |

I'm going for the three blade version....first step is to mark where the prop blades will be. |

I can never get over the level of detail that you have in these builds. Excellent! |

A pattern of the fin flash is used to determine paint lines. Here the white and the red would show through. |

This is to insure that the color under the decal does not show through. Decals are thin and translucent so light colors do not cover dark colors. In this case the dark blue of the RAF roundel will cover the green but the red would not. |

Thanks, DD. We were clouded over. Even though I've seen a few over the years it's still something to see. |

Thank you. Watching all this is eternally fascinating and even more so when something special happens. No photo can ever convey what it's like to experience it. |
