Thanks, Ray. Like I said, passable, not perfect. Not sure they would have passed muster for the Loening. |

I don't see a thing wrong with those stacks. "Stick-to-itness" pays off. |

Tried Aluminum, then brass again, and went back to styrene. Passible I guess. |

Huey's ideas sound good to me. Huey, do you have a link or address to LHS? I hope to build the F4B biplane and I'm sure I could use some aluminum tubing that are airfoil shaped for struts. Don, your model is turning out really nice. Glad to see it as anything but a "D" version. You doing detail it inside and out?

Thanks, Huey. I'll give that a try. Tried brass first, but that didn't go right either. Maybe if I bend a hundred or so I'll be able to find 12 that work. |

Don, how about aluminum tubing? I get it from my LHS in many sizes. Cut a length longer that you need. Insert a piece of wire, the kind used in electronics, to keep the tube from collapsing. Then squeeze the tube, bench vice or Chanel locks, to creat a novel shape. Then bend it over something to make the radius you need. |
