Thanks, That means a lot. How do I give you my address privately? |
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3055 | 02 Jun 07 13:34 |
Lots! However, I fully understand that buying that much might be a strain, unless you're a bit nuts like me, so if you'll send me your address privately, I'll send you some sheets to work with. It really does make a difference and I know you will like using it instead of what is supplied with the kit. That is, of course, provided you don't plan for the plane to fly on rubber bands. ;-) |

I looked there and silkspan is pretty expensive. About how many planes can you get from 20 or 30 sheets? |

They really fell in love with it when a freebie, one of the original Doolittle Raiders had to make an emergency landing in Vladivostock after it overshot China. |

Looks neat, David. Where do you get your silkspan? I have a C/L model that needs a wing recover and hope to build some more from plans that will need covering. |

Interesting, and looks like it's being well maintained for an outdoor museum piece. |

Now dry, the exceass silkspan is ready to be trimmed/sanded away |

I think these are what he's using. They weigh .90 grams each. Cat. no. 100MW. I used them on my Typhoon. |

Looks good, David, the B-25 is starting to come out of all those pieces of balsa. |
