1/32sq. is used top and bottom to simulate ribs. The whole unit is then covered with jap. tissue and clear dope is applied. You can separate the elevator and stabilizer later if you want moveable surfaces. But, I find it is easier to cover as one unit. Hope the drawing is of some help. Those two spots flying in close formation at about 8 o'lock on the drawing are not UFO's. They are actually bacon grease as I drew this at the kitchen table.

Plastic cowl was covered with alum. tape cut to size from a pattern. A Dremel using a little brush attatchment with a piece of blue Scotchbrite sheet attatched with masking tape was then pressed on the to make the engine swirls
