The outside of the chalked tissue. The black side (left) makes the tissue a more realistic darker color but I prefer the less blotchy right side, done with blue. |

I am going to cover the model with blue, chalked tissue. As an experiment, I chalked with blue and black. |

To make the wings stronger I added a thin bamboo spar. The mid-point of the spar is cracked to match the dihedral and I will strengthen it with paper before covering the bottom. |

I replaced most of the wood in the kit with contest balsa. The sides and most of the parts are 1/32 balsa. |
