Now that's a proper airfoil. John's methods of assembly seem odd to me but then someone who once saw me working an a painting said, "I don't know how you ever get it done" so I shall say no more. ;-) Git 'er done! |

Ha. Thank you sir! I love seeing overall progress pics. Its always interesting to me to see the order in which each artist on VA goes about building the various components of their respective projects. She's lookin great, Im always envious of your skills! |

Right on, my man. I didn't know if anyone would take much notice of this small detail. |

From poppy's Dauntless build I noticed the hoist cable in the pit. Now I know why it is there. Factoid... The SBD,primarily a carrier base plane, did not have folding wings. It barely fit, diagonally on the flight deck elevator. To save space on the hanger deck, SBDs were suspended from the ceiling on the hanger deck. My reference books show them suspended. The hoist cable is also shown lifting them from the dock to the flight deck |

Thank you sir...The redo did make it "more better!" I looked for fittings like those that you used but could not locate any. I had to resort to a total scratched engine. How are you dealing with the snow? We have more predicted for Mon evening and the 33 year old snow blower is on the fritz. |

Revised engine design. Me thinks is more appropriate. |
