Yes, very nice work, I'm looking forward to seeing your Albatros build. I also have an DVa on order, just been having alot of problems getting it shipped.

I was lucky. You can only reach the island by causeway which was flooded by the sea.I crossed 15 minutes before safe crossing time as sun was due to rise.

Underside airbrushed and masked. First coat up top.Ordered three planes today, Albatros DVa, Fokker Eindekker and Monocoupe 90A. Albatros is next project.

Hows the Rat coming on John? I've enjoyed watching the build. I've just ordered the Albatross D-Va from golden age reproductions. I'm hoping to sheet it rather than tissue as my wife wants a display model for the dining room. Any tips?

Covered, primed, restripped and recovering. What can I say? You guys set such high standards.......

Managed to get the Engine rocker fairings glued and gave the whole plane a few coats of Krylon. Busy setting the tailplane and fin in place. Then to coat it with primer and an attempt at airbrushing.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. Hopefully someone can help me? I an going to seal the spit with Krylon and want to finish with my airbrush and enamels. Can anyone recommend a primer???

Looks great to me also. Nice cover job! I like the exhaust manifolds. That took some work.

I don't see anywhere where it needs to be shrunk. Great job.

The plans are quite precise. The quality of balsa, canopy and prop are excellent.Supplied with grey tissue also but i prefer to use silkspan.Luckily there was a program on the history channel about the Battle of Britain memorial flight with some good close ups of them refurbishing the spits, so I now have the reference material needed.
wingspanner, Image # 694606 Mar 08 06:40

Finally got it covered. Still need to water shrink the tissue on fuselage. I also had problems with paper fillets not the correct shape but thats the only problem with this kit.

Its coming on well. Its all sanding, carving and shaping then its onto covering.Don't know wether to dope the silkspan obn or try a glue stick as ive never tried it before.
