I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

There's a good looking kid!

This was the first Navy jet fighter. It was ordered in August, 1943, first flew in January 1945 (On one engine! They only had one available at the time), and was in first line squadron service from 1947 to 1949. It was replaced by the F2H Banshee. The FH-1 was retired from the reserves in 1954. It used the flush riveting techniques developed for the XP-67 Bat and was one of the cleanest, conventional metal airframes ever built.

Before, I think.

Many thanks!

excellent craftmanship! what was the first phantom, this being the phantom II?

The light gray plastic kit is 1:48 scale and is half the size of the 1:24 scale painted balsa model. That's a yardstick between them.

"Lettuce" put my mind at ease. Take a photo of both planes side by side. Perhaps with a measuring stick between them.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2390424 Oct 11 21:23
One plane is definitely not half as small as the other. .75 smaller...maybe!

Your F4-E is also my favorite and to me represents your best work. To date, that is. Congratulations!

Is this the 1/24th plane, if so it looks smaller than the "Udder" plane. Is not 1/24 larger than 1/48? Maybe its an "eliptical delusion"!!!
David Duckett, Comment for image # 2390424 Oct 11 21:13
This box says 1/24 Scale...
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2390524 Oct 11 20:34
Confusion as the box says 1:48. Post op eye drops and pre op eyedrops. Cannot trust my senses. The "small" plane was in front of a box that is 1:24. You are attempting to make me nuttier!!!
David Duckett, Comment for image # 2390524 Oct 11 20:23
It's 1:24 scale. All the jets from Todays Hobbies are in this scale, as are all Dave Diels kits.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2390524 Oct 11 20:20
The plane in front of the 1:48 box is what scale?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 2390524 Oct 11 20:02
The 1:48 scale plastic kit is half the size of the 1:24 scale balsa kit.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2390524 Oct 11 19:52
Is this plane 1:48 if so, why is it larger than the one that is 1:24. Am I reading something incorrect???
David Duckett, Comment for image # 2390624 Oct 11 19:34
It's not the plane, it's the 70 years taking their toll.
Xanadu, Comment for image # 2390624 Oct 11 19:01
You look beat! This one took its toll. Fabulous size, thought it was quite smaller.

Thanks to all! This is my favorite.
