getting there! was this f-4 the one that introduced the cannon (20mm) on the plane? did it's kill ratio in Vietnam go up because of that? |

This is the third build of this kit and the 4th F4. This one will be a Marine. |

I built the Sea Fury (http://www.virtualaerodrome.com/image_browser.html?p_aircraft_id=201&p_user_id=1412) It was the model that got me back into balsa airplanes! It's a good kit. Easy to build and makes a great looking plane. |

It came from EBay. They are no longer made so that’s it. |

i've been looking at the sea fury kit. did you get it off of ebay or where else can you get it? |

I have seen the future. Yes, two of them. |

The canopies in Todays Hobbies kits are their worst feature but this is the first one I've gotten that was dented. It's an older kit. |

That's quite a difference in quality... |

Brian; yes the "E" model was the first one to have a internal 20 MM cannon. |
David Duckett, Comment for image # 40862 | 09 Feb 19 08:22 |
I don't know. |
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 40862 | 09 Feb 19 08:13 |
did the e model have the cannon on it? |
David Duckett, Comment for image # 40862 | 09 Feb 19 04:42 |
The TH kit is an E model in 1/24 scale, the Dumas kit is a D model in 1/27 scale. The E is 31" long, the D is 28" long. |

The Todays Hobbies kit, at top, compared to the canopy from the Dumas kit.THe Dumas canopy is about a half inch shorter and molded slightly different. I'll get another one for the TH kit. |

Which location for the CAF? A lot of nice builds there. |

The CAF will be proud of display these marvelous works of art. Each one is a reflection of hours of devotion to the scale rendition of the full sized article.
