I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Sharp, crisp, great work, DD. Unable to concentrate on my builds, (simply have no time) ergo....thank you VA for supplying my fix.

I used tracing paper to put the pattern on and masking tape in the painting.

Unlike Thomas, this is very graceful looking. Are you stenciling the markings?

Ah Man...this is slick...wish I could get back at mine.

Of course, the dope drying so quickly might have an effect, as well...

I'm covering outside where it's about 106* and that's too hot. The silkspan just will not adhere because it simply dries so quickly. I'll cover in the morning when it's cooler or inside. Solid surfaces are not a problem although they still have to be checked to make sure all is attached securely.

Hmmmmm......from this angle, the nacelles look a couple of whiskey kegs, Jack Daniels maybe?
Luke War, Comment for image # 1391630 Aug 09 19:35
That looks spectacular David. Any reason in particular you're waiting to cover the control surfaces?
David Duckett, Image # 1391830 Aug 09 18:06

A bit of fine tuning and it's off to the paint shop.
David Duckett, Image # 1391730 Aug 09 18:04

The national insignia and letters will be painted on so to facilitate that, the stabilizer will not be attached until that's done.
David Duckett, Image # 1391630 Aug 09 17:59

Everything is covered except the control surfaces which will be covered and painted before assembly.
David Duckett, Image # 1391530 Aug 09 17:58

The nacelle is covered except for the area in front of the fill in and is glued in place.

Hobbylite filler, 'fore & after

DD, this is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship as usual. When this is finished, you need a Hellcat and Wildcat to complete the "cat" family.

Looking awesome David! Looks like she's got some good inverted-flight characteristics!

It's amazing the speed at which you can build these marvels. I think everyone agrees that you are increasing our collective knowledge base exponentially.

Just amazing!

Thanks as always David. The Tigercat has been another great build for us mere mortals to watch and marvel at your talents!

No, but I believe Poppy puts on a coat of clear dope prior to using filler.
