| The canoe is too wide. I had to plane off about 1/4" on each side. I've started a rough carving of the spray shield at the bow of the boat. |

The kit is really basic and toy-like. But it does have some nice wood. The hull is a roughly shaped piece of koa. The canoe is approx. 1/12 scale. |

New build of a 50 year old kit. It is a Hawaiian outrigger canoe. Someday I'll build an airplane, like what this site was developed for. |

| Hey Ted! How are you doing? These were a lot of fun to design and build, spending a lot of time thinking about what materials to use, structures, etc. Watching the kids run around wearing them was the icing on the cake. |
