I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

This one was quite a challege, but I am happy with the result.

As DD calls them "Baby pictures!" Except for a canoe and a photo in a pond, the bush plane is complete. My P-47 has arrived and I shall be turning my attention to the "JUG!"

"O" zee air needed a snappy Jacobs prop.

Testing the engine...it worked!

I started finishing the air screw.

I also need to fabricate a canoe, to be lashed to the floats!

The Waco rests for today. Still needs a completed prop and some details.

LW...Maybe sand smooth and cover with another layer of silk span. DD turned me on to the Liquitex but I am also a believer in Ben Moore interior house paint. I purchase the small sample color bottles. Both brands cover well.

Thats kinda what I thought you'd say. The paint seemed very thick and seemed to clump up as I painted it on. Of course it's probably just user error, but I wanted the experts opinions. :) I'll post pics later tonight when I get home from work.

I don't know of any way to remove it from silkspan and in fact I wouldn't try. What exactly went wrong? My gut response would be to paint over it...

I cant help saying this slogan without getting a bit too chipper. Hehehe. Very creative as usual John. :)

John or David...I tried using the Liquitex brand paint after seeing the beautiful results from both of your builds. Lets just say that my results with this acrylic paint is much less than desirable. :( Do either of you know of a way I could remove the paint without ruining the wood and silkspan on my bird? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever work in advertising? Just need a really irritating jingle and nobody would forget "O" zee AIR! ;o)>

"O" zee Air logo, with Alaska silhouette, are clear decals.

Markings on the fin are clear decals.

Reg numbers on the wing are not decals. I had an epiphany. Reg. numbers were printed on plin paper on a laser printer. Cut out with a razor knife. Blacked with a marker on the white side. Dipped in future floor wax, and glued to the surface. Worked great!!

Lower markings.
