Forgot to ask my question. What was the brand of the polished aluminum paint?
Don C, Comment for image # 4043926 Jul 18 16:25
Now I see why you are considering which prop. The first picture had a wood prop.

so I guess there's only one way I could be getting away with it then..I'm just a piece of meat and candy

What's the expression? "A happy wife leads to a happy life."

I like the color scheme and as I recall, your inspiration had a wooden prop.

the kit prop is just a stand-in until I decide to make one and whether to replicate the wooden or the metal one..

lol - yes..yes I do - unless I'm NOT in a forum as full of certified airplane fanatics as I thought I was

You go to bed where your wife is sleeping and start watching airplane videos and wake her up and you want us to avenge your death? 😂😂😂😂
heywooood, Comment for image # 4043024 Jul 18 22:08
thanks- and yes I have seen Thunderbirds too many times to count. Lately I've been driving Mrs heywooood crazy because I come to bed after she is asleep and promptly fire up all my you tube aviation vids..the sound is practically muted but the light from the panel wakes her up sometimes. If you don't hear from me tomorrow avenge my death

Beautiful work. Looking forward to seeing it done. If you have not yet seen it, check out "Thunderbirds", a movie from 1942, filmed at Thunderbird Field in Glendale, Arizona. Lots of film of Stearman on the ground, flying, and in closeup. And lots of magical transforming Stearman that turn into entirely different biplanes while flying. That's Hollywood for you.

I guess I meant to say that I’m not doing anything different from before as to the process, yet the outcome is night and day different - so the materials are makng the difference. And thank you for your generous appraisals, gentlemen.

And those hands are doing some very nice work!

Until it gets in your hands, it's just gesso and spackle :-)
