This is an E-1 that has been upgraded to E-7 standard. There is an in depth video article on this at www.hyperscale.com You may have to scroll back aways, it was posted a couple of weeks ago at least.

Planes of Fame in Chino is great. They have so many planes, 35-40 of them fly, that my camera ran out of battery. Unfortunately the Northrop Flying Wing was in the repair shop so I did not get a chance to see it. Oh, and it also flies.

So many planes, so little time. I managed to get a side trip into Chino to see the museum, what a great trip that was! If you ever get the change, stop in and see it.

Chino, CA. This BF109 was shot down but managed to land on a frozen lake during the 40's, Come spring it went to the bottom of the lake when the ice melted, and was just aquired by Chino to do a major restoration.
