FYI, this is a page fromm DD's book. I enlarged the plastic 1/48 fuel tank supplied by Mr. Duckett by 240%(1/20 Scale). Using the pattern, I cut a 1/16" sheet balsa form, and using marks shown on the pattern I cut out 4 round formers. I marked the formers for 3/32 stringers shown in the following pics. |

One down, one to go. After sanding, I will coat with clear dope, then fill cracks and seams with my handy dandy Sherwin- Williams spackle, add fins and paint.. |

That's terrific. I'm 40, and just getting started. My son is 9, and he's more into Lego collecting, but I want him to get involved in model building. He received an F14 plastic for his birthday, and he wants me to paint it for him, but I told him he'll be participating in the build. |
