I still have to make props, 2 fuel tanks, and glue canopy in place. But I am almost there.

I use Avery label paper, peel and stick. White if decal has a white background, clear otherwise. You will have to cut around all colored edges if white is used, not so close with the clear background. I have tried various decal papers but found none that works for me. Some do not like peel and stick, but I find it works just fine on larger models.

i scanned the markings from a piece of white paper. comet kits have the markings on paper, i quess. what works best for insignia, white or clear background decal paper, poppy?

Clever solution :-) What brand & type of decal transfer paper do you use poppy?

Numberes and letters all removed. Some detail to the canopy and seats are finished.

My printer is picking up the blue background of the decal paper, which makes the clear background of the printed page a bit off color. To eliminate this effect, I transferred the decals to be used to a sheet of white styrene.

Testor's plastic glue used for fins. Aligned by eyeball. Yellow lines are trim tape.

What kind of glue did you use for the fins?
poppy, Comment for image # 2692304 Aug 12 20:56
Each rocket has 4 separate fins made from .040 sheet styrene and individually glued in place.

Poppy, those rockets look great! What material did you use for the fins, and how did you get them to allign so perfectly? Do they pass through the dowel, or are they 4 seperate fins? I'm working on similar project & just wondering 'bout your technique for perfect HVAR's. Thanks.
