By the way, at dusk when the lighting dims but not dark and I stand/sit a few feet away from my B-29 it looks awesome. I wish u could see it this way. Pictures can suck. |

Very nice. Im trying to find some rabbit ears for my P-40's undercarriage. I am also trying to make a retracting mechanism for the tail wheel, probably along the lines of my corsair. |

Nice. Do the prints for this plane show it to be built this way or is the moveable landing gear thing your idea ? I have built alot of the Guillows planes over the years that I don't have any more because of moving several times and I never built this particular plane... jut asking. |

For RTD - here's the "open door" fitting and the drop tank is now installed. |

Thanks, photo is a bit blurry but yes the wheels are fully retractable/extendable. The closed doors over the u/c legs in the retracted position are removeable and are replaced with "open door" replacements after the gear is extended and the wheels are rotated through 90 degrees. Similarly the tail wheel "closed door" is also replaceable with an extended tail wheel and open doors. I'll get some better shots when its complete. |

Great job! Did you end up making the wheels retractable? |

Rear view, I love this RNZAF paint scheme - made the old P-40 look really cool. White tail group and bands was to avoid confusion with the Japanese "Tony" in line engined fighter. I thoroughly reommend the bendy lamp mounting - makes painting mush easier as you can bend the plane into any position you like without having to hold it. |

Belly with wheels in retracted position, some minor weathering to the paint |

Tail detail, thin tape applied to tail to give a rib appearance under the paint. Cut out for main rudder post and post installed |

Some touch up painting to be done around rear fuselage glazing - trying for a weathered look |

You be guessing right Gary - whittling away some more of my non-existant finger tips using a very helpful "How to" posted by David. |

Looks mighty fine to me. Holes in the nose cone? Me thinks some home cooked props on the way, correct? |
